    Dr Conan O’Ceallaigh is a Post-doctoral Researcher working with the Timber Engineering Research Group at the National University of Ireland, Galway. Conan obtained his PhD from the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2016 while investigating the use of Irish-grown timber in the manufacture of engineered wood products. Conan is currently working on the DAFM funded, WoodProps project, focused on characterising Irish-grown timber species for the development of European standards related to wood quality and grading. Conan is also focused on the manufacture and structural design of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels and CLT construction systems and their use in multi-story timber construction.
