Synopsis: Ireland has traditionally had high levels of home-ownership, however the most recent census found that, 29% are now renting their accommodation, this rate goes to 36% in Dublin. Rebuilding Ireland – the Governments action plan for housing and homelessness, specifically acknowledges Build to Rent projects can play a very important role in addressing the current shortage of rental accommodation. This talk will review some of the factors which are influencing design of these Developments and will also outline the keys to developing product which can be operated to support the demands of current funding models and potential investors.
